Kevin De Bruyne: Manchester City midfielder would like to join Vincent Kompany at Anderlecht in future
Kevin De Bruyne has revealed when he strikes Manchester City he want to join with his team team-mate Vincent Kompany in Anderlecht.
Kompany returned to his side in Belgium on a this summer.
The duo won one FA Cup, two Premier League titles, and three League Cups together in four seasons at City under directors Manuel Pellegrini and Pep Guardiola.
De Bruyne told The Sun:”I expect his [Kompany’s] career will be equally as amazing in Anderlecht since it was at City. I have advised him to maintain a spot in his group for me at seven, or a year, once I’m finished here.
„If he can do that for me I will already have my next destination lined ; my next occupation.
„I will definitely miss him around City.”
De Bruyne, that came from Wolfsburg at 2015 in the Etihad Stadium, revealed Kompany had a significant influence in his choice to return to the Premier League four decades ago.
„In the time City were hoping to signal me by Wolfsburg and Vinny was pushing for me to move to Manchester to perform alongside him,” he explained.
„He would ask me once I was arriving. He’d say,’you need to return’, constantly reassuring me to join City.”
A host of Manchester City and also Premier League legends have been set to turn out to Kompany’s testimonial in the Etihad Stadium, live on Sky Sports Premier League on Wednesday.
